Meet Your Therapist
Hey Hey! I’m Morgan Santana, LCSW.
I wish I could tell you I always knew I wanted to be a therapist, but honestly? I just always knew I loved people.
I've always been fascinated by the way our experiences shape us—the stories we tell ourselves, the ways we learn to survive, and how two people can live through something similar but carry it in completely different ways. Somewhere along the way, that curiosity turned into a career I genuinely love.
These days, I spend my time helping adults and couples navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, burnout, and all the beautifully complicated parts of being human. My favorite moments aren't when someone has some huge breakthrough (although those are pretty rad). They're the quieter moments when someone realizes they aren't "too much," "too broken," or "the only one." Those moments change people.
If you've ever caught yourself saying, "I should be over this by now," literally, same. Let's talk.
As the wife of a medically retired veteran and someone who's spent years working alongside military members, veterans, and their families, I understand that life can ask a lot of us. That experience certainly shapes my work and it is still only a portion of the whole story. At the end of the day, whether you've worn a uniform or not, people are people. We all want to feel understood, connected, and a little less alone.
Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and probably a little less awkward than you're expecting. We'll talk about the hard stuff, celebrate the wins nobody else sees, and make room for laughter because honestly life is so weird, dude. I don't believe you have to show up as a perfectly put-together version of yourself to deserve support.
I'm passionate about using approaches that actually work. But more than anything, I believe that good therapy starts with a genuine relationship. Research matters. Feeling understood matters just as much.
Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me with my family, baking goodies I'll immediately tell everyone about, getting lost in fantasy books, or chasing whatever random creative idea has my attention that week. (If it involves a little whimsy or organized chaos, I'm probably in.)
My hope is simple: that when you leave a session, you feel a little lighter than when you walked in. Not because your problems disappeared, but because you don't have to carry them alone anymore.
I'm really glad you're here.
Why Wavely?
Here at Wavely, I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, military life, and life's difficult transitions. My approach combines evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (BCBT) with something equally important: a genuine human connection.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside service members, veterans, and military families through some of the most challenging seasons of their lives. Those experiences have reinforced what I believe to be true for everyone: healing doesn't happen because someone tells you what to do. It happens when you feel safe enough to explore your story, understand your patterns, and discover new ways forward.
Most people don't come to therapy because life is going exactly as planned. They come because they're exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Because anxiety is running the show. Because a relationship feels disconnected. Because something painful happened years ago and still finds a way to show up today. Because they're tired of surviving and want to start feeling like themselves again.
If that's you, you're not alone.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale. A place where you don't have to have the right words, the perfect explanation, or a polished version of your story. You get to show up exactly as you are—messy thoughts, big emotions, inappropriate laughs, and all. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. You don't need to be in crisis. You don't need to convince yourself that what you're carrying is "bad enough." You just need a place to start.
At Wavely, you'll find a space where progress matters more than perfection, curiosity matters more than judgment, and healing is allowed to happen one conversation at a time.
Messy minds are welcome here.
